Meet our Co-Directors of Business Plan and Biotechnology Development
Lauren Matise
Lauren Matise is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Cancer Biology program at Vanderbilt University in the laboratory of Dr. Hal Moses. Her research is focused on the role of TGF-beta in mammary epithelial cells during the progression of breast cancer. Lauren graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.
Nathan Mutic
Nathan Mutic is persuing a Ph.D. in Chemical and Physical Biology at the Vanderbilt University Institute for Imaging Sciences. He is currently exploring the relationship of cell proliferation, cycle, and enzyme kinetics with various imaging modalities including optical, PET, SPECT, CT, and MR. After recieving a BS in biology from Bloomsburg University he studied ALS at the PSU, Center for NMR Research.
Michael Pickup
Michael Pickup graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry and Business. He is currently in the Cancer Department at Vanderbilt University pursuing a Ph.D. In the laboratory of Dr. Harold Moses, his research is focused on TGF-beta's role in tumor progression and metastasis of breast cancer.
